‘American Idol’s’ Lauren Alaina releases ‘Like My Mother Does’ video

If you love Lauren Alaina, then you are about to be smiling from ear to ear. CMT has just premiered the official music video for “Like My Mother Does” — otherwise known as Lauren’s coronation song from this past season of “American Idol.”
All in all, the biggest boost that this video gives the song is how it manages to use home video footage of Lauren to showcase her transition from a young girl to a still young (but not successful) country singer. Away from that, it’s pretty familiar country fare. Lauren sings outside of a home and in a kitchen, and also has to tackle the challenge of emoting when there is a camera literally a few inches from your face.
This is turning out to be a big week for both Lauren and “Idol” champ Scotty McCreery — whose “I Love You Think Big” video is already getting set to premiere. (As expected, we will have impressions on that once it hits the internet.) Both of these teen stars are a part of the “Idol” tour currently traveling around the country.

After Idol tour is over and her contract ends…i think, I hope, i pray,,,to see the end of this girl. She’s not what she pretends to be and time will reveal the truth. She’s no Carrie Underwood, on any level. I think Idol’s shameless promo of this girl will prove to be huge embarrassment. The coronation song is a good song…otherwise, it’s been down hill for her since Turn Your Radio On.
