‘Big Brother 14’ finale review: A winner, a bitter jury, and a Dan Gheesling debate

After over two months in the house, we finally know the winner of “Big Brother 14.” However, we have to admit that it may not have been the winner that it should have been.

Thanks to the having quite possibly the most bitter jury that we have ever seen on the show, Ian Terry was declared the official winner of season 14 in a landslide vote. As far as we can tell, the only person who actually did vote to give Dan the grand prize was his former alliance partner Danielle. To be fair, we have to say this: Ian was not a bad winner by any means. He made some great moves, won a ton of challenges (including the final Head of Household), and really did overcome a lot as someone who would have been the first person out were it not for Boogie saving him. With that, he’s probably the show’s best winner since Dan the first time.

However, Dan just played a game that was completely and totally dominant. We don’t understand the whole “challenge win” argument, mostly because Dr. Will never won any challenges. Did he make some morally wrong decisions? Sure, but it’s a game, and we don’t know why his lies were any worse than someone else’s lies. It was pretty reminiscent of Russell Hantz or Boston Rob on “Survivor: All-Stars” … but had he won the final HoH challenge and took Danielle, it probably would not have mattered.

What do you think about the winner, and about the state of the jury overall?┬áIf you want to check out some more of the latest “Big Brother” news, all you have to do is head on over to the link here.
