Considering that the new hit NBC series “Revolution” is executive-produced by “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke, it really should not come as too big of a surprise that he is recruiting a number of acts that he worked with over there to play some roles on this show.
Here are the three actors with major “Supernatural” connections to all make appearances on the show in the coming weeks:
Mark Pellegrino – The actor, who is otherwise known for playing the part of Jacob on “Lost,” is going to play a militia officer in the third episode of the season.
Todd Stashwick – Stashwick had the honor of actually playing the “Supernatural” version of Dracula, but on this series he is going to be coming on board in the role of a drug lord in the sixth episode of the season.
Colin Ford – Finally, we have the young version of Sam Winchester. Ford will appear in the seventh episode of season, and is going to star as a young man whose brother is captured by the militia.
For Kripke, these castings are solid in that they may help him to keep his “Supernatural” following on board this show with the promise that they will see some familiar faces turn up from time to time; meanwhile, Pellegrino also has the J.J. Abrams connection courtesy of “Lost,” and there will be the fan following that comes in from there.
What do you think of these castings, and how smart do you think that it is that Kripke is dipping so much from the pool of his former show?
