‘Big Brother 15’ officially a go; CBS renews the show

There was a good news that came out just before the start of the “Big Brother 14,” and it means that we will officially be back with you next summer with more live feed updates and other assorted craziness.

Just before the last episode of the season started, CBS announced that season 15 is officially underway, and that it will probably start the early planning phases soon. While we considered this to be more or less a given, it was really not confirmed by any means. Why? The ratings were down by a decent margin ¬†versus last season, but at the same time this is the sort of show that CBS needs to have around. It still averaged a 2.5 in the 18-49 demographic, and this is not the sort of show that is extremely expensive to produce. You get cast members in a house that is already build, and then do challenges that you have done dozens of times before. Plus, you get revenue from the show’s live feeds that people pay for, and it airs three nights a week. In other words, this show is ratings gold. We have a feeling that “Big Brother” would have been picked up somewhere else had CBS actually made the decision to cancel it.

So what will next season be? That is the question that we are still curious about. We hope that there are either no returning players are all returning players, though, if for no other reason than that we want things to change a little bit.

Are you glad to see even more “Big Brother” coming up this season?¬†If you want to see the last live feed update from the season, be sure to head on over to this link.
