‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Joseph Gordon-Levitt brings the funny

Did you ever think that there should be a spin-off of the upcoming Joseph-Gordon Levitt movie “Looper,” and that it should be referred to as “Scooper”? If you somehow answered “yes” to this question, then odds are you are probably going to love the new promo of “Saturday Night Live” this weekend hosted by the man himself.

Mostly, the promo (which you can see below) is stuffed full of predictable fare, whether it be a random disappearing act, promises of song-and-dance numbers, and both he and Jason Sudeikis alternating between who was playing the straight man, and who was playing the crazy guy.

While the season premiere featuring Seth MacFarlane last week was pretty funny, there were a few gaping holes when it came to the quality of the entertainment; namely, that we felt as though the host was a tad underutilized. The good news here is that “SNL” producers already have a pretty good idea as to what they are getting. Gordon-Levitt is not only a funny and established actor, but he has also been on the show before. More often than not, repeat appearances are better than debuts in that you have hosts who feel more comfortable. As a matter of fact, some repeat hosts (Justin Timberlake) are so funny that you wish that they could be on pretty much every week.

What do you think about this promo, and do you think that Gordon-Levitt is actually going to be an ever better host this time than he was back when he first graced the famous New York stage? If you want to check out our full review of last week’s edition of the show, you can do so by paying a visit to the story over at the link here.
