It looks like we may have a breakup of the saddest variety on season 4 of “Community“: Jeff Winger may no longer be the target of one Dean Pelton’s creepy obsessions … at least for a short period of time.
So what could be appetizing enough to pull the Dean away? No, it’s not a dalmatian; rather, TV Guide reports that Jim Rash’s master creation is going to be spending a little bit of time this season going after a good-looking young man. What’s the catch? He may just be after his money … as in his endowment. The guy has never worked a day in his life, and the Dean has to find a way to convince him into sending Greendale some of his not-earned cash so that they can continue to fund such important things as a class on “Who’s the Boss,” paintball wars in the hallways, and quite possibly the Dean’s own wardrobe if he is reckless enough to put that on the budget.
So will this keep the Dean away from the primary target of affection forever? We have a feeling that the answer here is “no,” if for no other reason than that we don’t know if Joel McHale’s character is a obsession that the character can quite get away from. Plus, there’s a whole new level to the awkwardness / creepiness whenever the two parties are around each other. Think back to their awkward “bro date,” when we actually started to refer to the Dean as Craig for a short span of time.
Do you think that Jeff could actually get (gasp!) jealous by this development? We want to hear some of your theories! Also, be sure to head over to this link if you have not yet heard the all-important news about who is going to be playing the character of Jeff’s father.
