“Game of Thrones” is getting closer to capping off its filming in Northern Ireland for the year, but before we do reach the end there, there are some stories still left to report about some interesting details related to production.
First things first, show site Winter is Coming revealed that Kit Harrington was spotted this week on set wearing his full Jon Snow costume, even though he was also seen sporting the split that was thanks to an ankle injury that he suffered away from the show earlier this year. This is the same ankle injury that kept him from attending the show’s panel at Comic-Con in San Diego in July, and he has been recovering ever since.
The site also reports via the local Dubrovnik Times that the filming for the show in Croatia is going to happen beginning on September 27, and will continue both in the city and in the nearby Trsteno Arboretum until October 7. There is likely going to be a good bit of exterior footage here that needs to be shot, so with that in mind we anticipate the crew having to move rather quickly throughout the city.
In going back to Harrington, a good percentage of the footage that he will be shooting for the season will take place in Iceland, and will also span the next several months as he battles some difficult conditions and also days that are going to progressively get shorter and shorter as time goes by.
