According to a new report from TMZ, the star of “Basketball Wives” is finally divorced from Chad Johnson one month after she initially filed; and oddly enough, that came just under two months after the couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony that was filmed for television (even though it is now never going to air).
So what was the reason for the initial delay? Ultimately, it was really Chad who was to blame there, as he was hesitant to sign any divorce documents after he expressed his love for Lozada and tried what he could to win her back. At one point, he reportedly even got so desperate that he posted a photo of himself on line with what looked to be a tattoo of her face on his leg. It was not clear whether or not the tattoo was permanent, but he ended up removing it from his page a few hours later.
Unfortunately for Chad, Lozada has already made it perfectly clear that she will not take him back, and is going to spend the next few months likely trying to restore some sense of normalcy to her life before her VH1 show starts back up with some new episodes early next year. Johnson, meanwhile, is likely going to continue his search for a new employer after getting arrested following the allegations of domestic violence. The Miami Dolphins released him promptly after the incident, and no other team has reportedly taken an interest in him just yet.
