It would not be “Revenge” without somebody dying … right? We saw it seemingly happen during season 1 finale, and with the nature of this show being one that is as dangerous as it is, we know that there is going to be a near-constant threat of some bad things happening.
Is there some good news on this front? Well, we can at least say that there won’t be anyone perishing within the season premiere. Speaking in a new interview with E! News, here is what Ashley Madekwe had to say:
“I don’t think there are any deaths [in the first episode]. Not yet,” she says. “Someone will die, of course they will.”
What we do know, however, is that there is going to at least be a funeral for Victoria early on in the season. But is she actually dead? That is really the question that just about everyone else is wondering about at the moment. By the end of the first few episodes, we will hopefully find out if she somehow faked her own death, or if somehow Madeleine Stowe’s character really did end up biting the dust. “Revenge” is going to have a series of challenges, and in addition to this one it also has a task when it comes to its timeslot: trying to compete against the likes of “The Good Wife,” “Dexter,” and “Boardwalk Empire” Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. We’re not sure there is a timeslot that is more competitive on TV. Then again, it also has a great lead-in courtesy of “Once Upon a Time.”
