Who wants some big-time casting news from the world of “Supernatural”? Let’s just say that we finally have some news on who is playing the much-anticipated part of Noami, and anyone who loves good science fiction and fantasy has to be happy with the announcement.
According to a report from Zap2It, former “Stargate SG-1” and “Sanctuary” star Amanda Tapping has been booked for the major recurring role, which will first turn up in the seventh episode of the new season. Unfortunately, we do not know too many other details about this part just yet … at least outside of the fact that she is a part of a new group of angels that is different from Castiel or any others that we have seen on the show before.
In addition to Tapping’s casting, we also have a few more details on another new character. Former “M*A*S*H” star Mike Farrell (a big get for pretty much any show in this day and age) has been booked to play the part of “an aging mentalist with a slippery grasp on reality.” We know that he is going to be appear first in episode 8, but unlike Noami, we have yet to hear any signs just yet that he will be a part of more than just one episode. (We will hopefully find out more on this very thing soon.)
What do you think about Tapping’s casting on the show? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! If you want to check out a new silly video featuring the likes of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, be sure to head on over to the link here.
The season premiere of “Supernatural” will air on The CW beginning on Wednesday, October 3 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
