After three seasons of being front and center to all sorts of drama on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” it looks like Alexis Bellino is the latest famous lady to say goodbye to the program.
Speaking to Us Weekly, a source close to production of the Bravo show more or less confirmed Bellino’s exit by saying that above all, what she really wanted to do with her life at this point was to restore a bit of normalcy:
“Alexis was really tired of being bullied and chose home and family life over celebrity … [she] wanted to go back to her simple life in Orange County.”
Some of Bellino’s largest feuds on the show included rifts with almost every lady on the show over the past few years, but some of the biggest ones involved Gretchen Rossi and new cast member Heather Dubrow. We assumed that this exit could have been coming based on how Alexis was on the defensive during much of the season 7 reunion, but it is still some pretty sad news. After all, this past season was actually one of the best when it came to the “Orange County” series, and most of it was a breath of fresh air after a depressing season of the Beverly Hills series and a disappointing new run in Atlanta earlier this year.
The only cast member to be in Orange County since the show’s beginning is Vicki Gunvalson, even though Tamra Barney and Gretchen have made their presence felt on the show for some time now. The last cast member to leave was Peggy Tanous, and it happened at the start of last season.
