We already know that one former star from the world of “True Blood” is arriving on “Grey’s Anatomy” this season in Camilla Luddington; and now, there is another small player from the HBO show who will be crossing paths with the likes of Meredith, Derek, and Cristina very soon … and in a time in which they need it the most.
According to TV Guide, Adina Porter (who played Lettie Mae for more than 20 episodes on the vampire drama) is going to be appearing in the second episode of ABC’s medical drama as Dr. Ramsay, a woman who works at the Idaho hospital who helps to care for the Seattle Grace survivors of the plane crash after they are recovered from the woods. This casting does fall very much in line with what we have heard from this episode already. It was already clear that the first episode of season 9 was going to jump forward to see where some of the doctors were after they had resumed their everyday lives following the crash; meanwhile, this second installment is meant a little bit more as a means to show people what exactly happened to them back at the scene.
We don’t want to run the risk of repeating this too much, but there are ultimately two lives that are in the balance at the moment thanks to the crash: Mark and Arizona. In the case of the former character, we know that Eric Dane is leaving the show and he will therefore either die or take leave from the hospital for good. Meanwhile, Jessica Capshaw’s status is up in the air completely, and nobody really knows just what is going to happen to her.
The season premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” will air on Thursday, September 27 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. If you want to catch the latest promo, you can do so over at the link here.
