While episode titles are often a hard thing to speculate about, we’re not sure if there is a show that is as difficult to figure out as “Revenge.” The show’s titles generally only focus on an abstract concept versus an actual event or detail; and with that in mind, their titles can really be alluding to anything.
So what’s the latest one worth looking at? According to SpoilerTV, the upcoming sixth episode of the season is going to be entitled “Illusion.” So just what sort of illusion are we talking about here? That much is currently unclear, but we have a feeling that it will be something that Emily Thorne either causes or falls victim to. This is far enough in the season so that she will have had time to formulate some sort of plan, and this will also be taking place during a time in which big things happen story-wise in the November sweeps. Emily will have a new love interest coming up this season played by Barry Sloane; meanwhile, we are also going to have her being forced to deal with something else that could be rather traumatic in the return of her mother (played by Jennifer Jason Leigh).
As for everyone else, there will be new love interests (see: Nolan), reasons to smile, and reasons to worry about the lives of every one of these characters. It’s already shaping up to be an exciting season, and September 30 cannot come fast enough so the mystery of this title and many others can be resolved.
