As we have written about a number of times on this site already, an upcoming episode of “Castle” season 5 is going to focus on Castle and Beckett heading over to a convention very similar to Comic-Con in San Diego in order to examiner a crime. Now, we know a little bit better when we are going to be seeing this episode, and what the title of it is going to be.
We recently reported that “Star Trek” alum Jonathan Frakes is returning to direct this episode, and he published the following message on his Twitter account all about it:
“Castle” has been a show that has no fear when it comes to using episode titles that are references to other source material; after all, there is also an installment coming up this fall entitled “Murder, He Wrote.” We don’t really know too much about what the plot of this comic convention-inspired episode is going to be just yet, but the show definitely has plenty of people who have hands-on experience being present at these sort of things. Not only is Fillion pretty much a Comic-Con god at this point in between this show and “Firefly,” but even Molly C. Quinn (Alexis) was present this year to both support her co-star and to take in some of the sights. (She is also going to be voicing Supergirl in an upcoming animated project with DC Comics coming out in the near future.)
How much do you love this episode title, and do you think we will be seeing plenty more in the way of “Star Trek” references over the course of the hour? If you want to see some more of the official cast photos for the upcoming season, all you have to do is visit the link here.
