Chord Overstreet is known for doing many a thing as Sam Evans on “Glee,” but one move in particular when it comes to his character that has won him over plenty of fans are his creative song covers.
Remember when he rocked Justin Bieber’s “Baby” back in season 2 and gave it a whole new vibe? Let’s just say that the Justin Bieber Experience could be back in a big way this time around. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Overstreet did not promise that there will be more Bieber from him in the future (though we do know the cast overall will be taking on “Boyfriend” next week in a mash-up with Britney Spears’ “Boys”), but he definitely has the door left open to it:
“I’m a big fan of ‘As Long As You Love Me’ right now. [I] may be doing a couple of mash-ups of some different stuff — and maybe some acoustic stuff.”
Sam’s story is still in many ways a mystery this season. We know that he is going to bond a little bit more with Artie now that they are two of the guys helping to run the glee club, and that he will be getting a new love interest at some point. What we are most excited about, though, is simply the claims that the writers have finally figured out just how to play to Overstreet’s strengths after two seasons of him bouncing all over the place from being in love with Mercedes to working at a go-go dancing club.
