We reported a little while ago that there was going to be a “nice” new doctor joining the ranks of Seattle Grace on “Grey’s Anatomy,” and now we have a little bit more news as to who this doctor could potentially be.
According to a brand-new report via TV Guide, “A Different World” star Dominic Hoffman is set to appear in at least one episode as a doctor; and while it is not confirmed that this is the same character that we previously heard about, the ages do match up at least per the casting notes.
Some of Hoffman’s other credits include guest-starring gigs on “Hanging’ with Mr. Cooper” and “The Mentalist,” and we have a feeling that the door is at least going to be left open for him to return for another episode. After all, it is highly unlikely that a doctor is going to arrive at Seattle Grace and then leave within the span of one episode.
Some of the other notable guest stars coming on board the show this season include “Friday Night Lights” alum Gaius Charles and “William & Kate” actress Camilla Luddington, and they are both presumably also playing folks within the medical profession at the famous hospital. Hopefully, they will help to fill the void after the exits of Kim Raver, Chyler Leigh, and Eric Dane, who is leaving after the first two episodes. Meanwhile, the jury is still out about whether or not Jessica Capshaw’s Arizona is going to be back for any more work of her own.
