The producers behind “Big Brother 14” decided to take plenty of time when it came to their decision to air the first part of the final Head of Household Competition, but it was definitely worth the wait. As expected, it was a battle of endurance that took place in the backyard, and it may be one of the most miserable challenges we have ever seen.
The task itself was similar to something we saw in seasons past: Dan, Danielle, and Ian were all hanging on for dear life onto a rope, and then were flung around into walls, a pool of water, and occasionally up even higher in the air. To make matters worse, they were also rained on a good percentage of the time. At this point, it was really all a battle of “who wants it more,” and it’s pretty clear by Dan’s actions the past few weeks that he wants it. Meanwhile, Danielle was still seemingly angry about Shane getting evicted, while Ian was just happy to be there considering that he was almost out the door for sure.
All things considered, it was not a shocker to see Ian as the first one out here, even if he has done pretty well in these competitions over the course of the full season. The other two just have the adrenaline going more at this point. The funny thing is, though, as the minutes went by, Danielle somehow managed to calm down and Dan had roped her back in again with his magical mist. He really does want to take her to the final two, but it’s understandable why she would be hesitant to agree to a deal based on his past. Eventually, she did give in, and Dan is the winner of part one.
