If you love Matt LeBlanc and want a little bit more of him in your life, we now have some great news coming your way: Showtime apparently agrees with you.
Despite posting some live ratings for the show’s second season that were not entirely stellar, the former “Friends” star will be coming back for a third season of offbeat adventures based loosely on his own life. The show has developed not only a devoted following, but you cannot also ignore that fact that LeBlanc himself has received great critical acclaim for this part. He has already secured one Golden Globe, though he is unfortunately not going to be eligible for an Emmy Award this year due to the timing of his second season airing in the summer.
During much of the show’s sophomore run on TV, “Episodes” has been paired up with a series that is clearly on its last legs due to its announcement that season 8 will be its last: “Weeds.” With that in mind, where does LeBlanc end up airing next time around? It’s still a little unclear, but what we do know is that season 3 (which is co-produced by Showtime and the BBC) will be nine episodes long, and production will begin soon in Los Angeles as well as London. As of right now, it’s pretty fair to say that the premiere date is going to be at some point in 2013.
Do you love all things LeBlanc, and are you happy to see more “Episodes” potentially coming your way? We want to hear some more of your thoughts below! If you want to see some more of Showtime’s big decisions that have been made as of late, be sure to visit the story here.
