Sometimes, you hear a new casting that you don’t like at first, but then it ends up feeling like something that is bizarrely brilliant. At the moment, we are definitely feeling that way about the latest announcement concerning the second season of “2 Broke Girls.”
According to a brad-new report from TVLine, former “Veronica Mars” and “Party Down” star Ryan Hansen has landed the role of Andy on the upcoming season. While Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Beth Behrs) are trying to take their cupcake business to the next level, they will meet this man, who is a master of sorts in the candy trade. As a matter of fact, he has become known over time as “Candy Andy” over some of his work in the candy trade.
So what could somehow make this news even more interest? That “Candy Andy” is eventually going to be a love interest of sorts to Caroline, which is not something she has had too much of on the show so far. We hope that this storyline succeeds, mostly because this is a show that is poised to break out. “2 Broke Girls” is moving to the 9:00 p.m. Eastern time slot once occupied by “Two and a Half Men” beginning on September 24, and expectations will be high for the show to anchor the network’s Monday lineup for several years to come as “Two and a Half Men” and “How I Met Your Mother” each wind down.
What do you think about this casting, and do you think that this could be a pretty good shake-up to Caroline’s love life on this season? We want to hear some more of your thoughts below!
