The producers behind “Game of Thrones” continue to leave no stone unturned when it comes to recreating the authenticity of George R.R. Martin’s iconic work. What’s the latest example this time around? Let’s just say that the actors are doing everything that they can to get the diologue correct.
Speaking within in a new post on her Twitter account, one of the show’s newest actresses in Nathalie Emmanuel had this to say about trying to perfect one of the necessary requirements for the role of Missandei:
“Just been with the voice coach learning the Valyrian speech Missandei has to say… It’s a challenge but it sounds great!”
In the books, Missandei is the character who becomes one of people accompanying Daenerys Targeryan on some of her travels. She also happens to be a former slave. Will all of this end up staying the same in the show? It’s possible that it will in some shape or form, but you have to remember that no adaptation is going to be completely in line with the source material in every way. We just hope that Missandei has plenty of material to work with as a character when the series returns to HBO on Sunday, March 31 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Expectations are once again high for the show to succeed, as it is probably going to win at least one trophy at the upcoming Creative Arts Emmys over the weekend.
