With the “Dexter” season 7 premiere vastly approaching, there are of course all sorts of questions that we are begging to find out answers to; and while the storyline between Dexter and Deb may be the one getting the lion’s share of the attention, here is also an important storyline that cannot be forgotten here involving LaGuerta discovering a key piece of evidence that the Bay Harbor Butcher could still be out there.
So how big of a threat is this going to be to Michael C. Hall’s title character? Well, let’s just say that the resident Captain of the police force in Maria LaGuerta is going to be relentless in trying to clear the accused Butcher’s name. Speaking to E! News in a new interview, here is what executive producer Sara Colleton had to say on the subject:
“That’s going to be a genuine growing threat because she will come to believe that the Bay Harbor Butcher could indeed still be out there and she sets out to prove the innocence of her dear friend Sargent Doakes … And she will be relentless, so in addition to Deb, there are a lot of threats to his security coming at him this year.”
Will Dexter be found out? If this was a year ago, we would be more willing to wager that the answer here would be “no.” However, him leaving a blood slide at a crime scene (and thus kicking off LaGuerta’s manhunt) shows that Deb being in on the secret is causing our serial killer to be more prone to mistakes … and there is really only so many mistakes that you can afford to make when you are dealing with the business of something so dark and twisted.
