The “American Idol” season 11 tour is coming to a close in America, and that led to a rather emotional send-off for the top ten contestants this year while performing in Milwaukee.
In the video below, you can see the other nine singers from the show joining Phillip Phillips on stage for a performance of “Home,” the coronation song from his victory that has since turned into an international smash hit on radios around the country. It’s a sweet little moment, even if it looks like a few of them are just standing behind Phillip as he closes the song rather than providing any sort of real backing vocals.
Some more tour fun – Just in case you wanted something silly to go with this sweet moment, here are some of the women from the tour this season, including Jessica Sanchez and Elise Testone, having a rather entertaining balloon party for themselves while on board their tour bus. We wish 19 Entertainment had put more of these videos out during the tour itself, but we think we know just what their motivation is here: in giving us a taste of everything all at once now, it helps to remind casual fans about the contestants as the move forward to the next stage in their careers. (The final show of the tour happens in the Philippines next week.)
James Durbin hits up StageIt – Finally, James Durbin is joining the likes of Lee DeWyze and Kris Allen in holding a StageIt show to raise a little bit of money for charity. The event will be held September 29 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and will feature some new music over the 30 minuets along with some potential old favorites. Want more information? You can find it here.
