We know that Maksim Chmerkovskiy has had at times a tough summer, but he has a number of reasons to be happy at the moment: not only is he a part of the upcoming “All-Stars” season of “Dancing with the Stars,” but he is dancing with someone that he has become friends with over the course of the show’s 15-season history.
So just how close are Maks and Kirstie Alley? In a new interview that aired on the new season of “The Wendy Williams Show” this week, the pro said that Kirstie was more or less his favorite dancer over the past twelve seasons in which he has appeared in. He also seemingly confirmed the rumors that Kirstie was only interested in doing the show so long as she continued to work with Maks as she did back during season 12.
On a different subject, Maks and Wendy got into a debate over something that has been a subject of drama for some time when it comes to the two of them: the judges. Maks said that he “probably” regrets some of the heated comments that he has said in the past, including an outburst during season 13 when he referred to “Dancing with the Stars” as “my show” while also suggesting Len Goodman should retire from the show. In some ways, we do understand the frustration here; however, we also like the fact that this is one of the few reality competition shows out there where we have not seen the judging panel change from year to year. Isn’t this something that we should celebrate rather than bemoan?
