Cobie Smulders has some more words to share when it comes to the upcoming eighth season of “How I Met Your Mother,” but there is some irony to come along with it: namely in that she is not really even talking much about her character of Robin.
Rather, the actress (who is probably still coming off of the high caused from being in “The Avengers”) told E! News in a new interview a little bit about one of the biggest struggles coming up this season for Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) now that they have baby Marvin in their lives:
“I think it shifts the couples’ priorities … Just their ability to stay awake, which is sort of what happens in the first episode. When you have another creature in your life, things change. I think that this group that we have here is tight enough that everyone is going to come together as opposed to kind of fall apart and kind drop off and go on to do their own thing.”
So how much will this group really come together for the child? Let’s just say that we are going to see some babysitting from some of the childless members of the gang this season, and Robin will probably be one of them at some point; and in doing so, maybe she will be able to take away some of the pain after she found out that she is not going to be able to ever have biological children of her own.
