‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 3: Check out the new Halloween poster

Pretty Little Liars” must love to recycle: After all, they have used the same promo picture time and time again in different forms, and to try to create different results.

The newest example of this? The image that the network has just released to promote the upcoming Halloween special airing on October 23. Rather than using an actual screengrab from the episode, what we have instead here is the all-familiar image of our for leading ladies wearing the same clothing that they are in the photo posted at the top of this article, just in different positions. This photo shoot was taken all the way back in the show’s first season, but it is simple enough that it is still effective in showing the girls’ different personalities while also giving them equal share in the spotlight.

As for what is new here, all you have to do is look in the background. The art department for the show has added all sorts of creepy Halloween imagery whether it be the dirt on the girls’ arms, the bats in the background, or the ominous orange sky. Basically, they have added enough to this poster to make it feel new again … and even a little bit scary. (Granted, Emily’s smile feels a little bit out of place here given the context of what she went through during the summer finale last month.)

Although this ‘scary’ episode is mostly going to stand on its own, do expect a few references to what we do now know about Toby being on the “A-Team.” Also, get ready for an epic cliffhanger that will have you tweeting “OMG” over and over again for about two hours after the episode airs. Unfortunately, you are not going to be able to calm down again until the show returns with new episodes in February.

What do you think about this poster, and do you have a problem with the show re-using the same images again and again? If you want to check out the latest chapter in the show’s “Pretty Dirty Secrets” webseries, you can do so by paying a visit over to the link here.
