For the first time since the “Bachelorette” star and the man she chose on the finale earlier this summer faced allegations about infidelity via a tabloid report, the couple gave a TV interview on “Good Morning America” to yet again put the rumors to rest that their engagement is in any sort of trouble. As a matter of fact, Jef has finally pulled the trigger on a move to Emily’s hometown of Charlotte, and he is residing near his fiancee and their daughter Ricki as they all start to get to know each other even better.
Unsurprisingly, one of the biggest topics of the interview was the fact that Jef’s own brother Mike ended up confirming the original Us Weekly report that Emily was caught sending inappropriate text messages to another man while on a family vacation, and it led to Jef (who seemingly had a good relationship with his family on the show) giving the following remark:
“I don’t know why he [Mike] would do that … You know, sometimes, I think in our situation it brings out the worst in people and I don’t even know if he really knows why he did that.
“I love my family and I love my brother. I support him and I know he supports us a couple and it just makes people do crazy things sometimes.”
With the word “it” in the statement above, we have a feeling that Jef is either talking about money or exposure. Either way, his comment was also followed up with a message from Emily about the whole issue:
“It broke my heart for Jef more than anything,” she said. “I can get through whatever anybody says about me but the fact that it was family, that just broke my heart for him. But we’re better than ever so it doesn’t faze me one bit.”
Are you glad that Emily and Jef spoke out again, or do you think that they really didn’t need to given that they have already denied the talk once already? We want to hear more of your thoughts below!
