I for one think it is a wonderful idea to bring all three of these folks on to the screen. They have very diverse backgrounds and yes some corruption, but nothing like what we are dealing with every single day with this administration. I would love to see more of this type of injection into this show. The only real downfall I see is that the slot that they have this show on is a death sentence. This show needs to be moved where it won’t be interrupted every other week for some football game, dumb trophy giving movie or singers night that most people don’t watch. Put it on Tuesday night at 10:00 pm. For those that don’t like who will be on, please feel free to go to twitter and watch some real slime shows.

What ARE they thinking!? The show is very idealistic, the McCords so loving and wholesome. I do chuckle at how unrealistic the governance and politics are portrayed, but that’s just some of its escapist charm. To bring on Hillary is just such a jarring note — she has a lifelong record of corruption, lying, deceit just for starters! Bad, bad, bad, bad decision…..

In reply to Vincent Welage. I have to agree. Condi Rice, or Madeleine Albright, would have been fine. Hillary Clinton is such a polarizing figure, inducing such visceral loathing in such a large portion of the population, that her presence can only cost them viewers. I am one of millions who voted unhesitatingly for Donald Trump, because I could imagine few fates worse for the nation than bringing Hillary's corruption, dishonesty and incompetence back to the White House, and few fates for myself worse than having her on my television every evening when I turned on the news. Putting her on Madam Secretary is a very unfortunate decision.

The producers needed a replacement for Freeman in the premiere, but pulling these dinosaurs out of the woodwork makes little sense. IMO. Corruption (Clinton – Benghazi, Powell – Iraq, Albright – North Korea) in the real US State Dept was prevalent during the tenures of these political characters. A much better and more credible guest choice would have been Condoleezza Rice. In office, January 26, 2005 – January 20, 2009. She would have been a good comparable to Elizabeth, but not politically correct enough for CBS.
