With there only being four eligible candidates to be put up for eviction this week in the “Big Brother 14” house, it’s pretty easy to say that this was a little bit of an easier week to call in the nominations. We already know that Ian’s “Renegades 2.0” alliance with Dan pretty much guarantees that one person is going to be safe from the block for sure, and with that, the only real question that remained was just who was going to end up joining the most obvious nominee of all time in Jenn.
Would Ian put up Shane as promised, or go a completely different route and put up Danielle? As he has with the Quack Pack all season long, the engineering student stayed faithful, and it looks as though Shane is back up on the block for the first time since he was there against JoJo all the way back in the second week of the game. On that occasion, his victory in the Power of Veto Competition ensured that he was going to stay in the game while JoJo went home; but this time around, it’s not even that pressing that he saves himself. (We’re still waiting for absolute confirmation, but Shane’s behavior and conversations with Danielle suggest he is up.)
What is actually the most interesting thing about this upcoming competition is that it is actually more beneficial for Ian or Dan to win it than one of the nominees. Why? Neither party wants to get anyone suspicious of their “final 2 deal” (which is really only that in Ian’s mind), and it would be problematic if they were forced to put up Danielle as a replacement if Shane wins (which he really doesn’t need to do). However, they may have to do so in the event that Jenn wins the Veto, and at that point, Dan is going to be in a rather interesting pickle.
Do you think that either Shane or Jenn will win the Veto when it happens? We want to hear your thoughts below! Also, you can check out some more news from the live feed over at this link.
