Now that we know that “Jersey Shore” is really going to be ending after its sixth season (premiering October 11 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time), it may be fair to say that this now is the time that some of the cast members really have to figure out what is going to be coming up next for them. No more will the likes of The Situation, Deena Cortese, and Sammi Giancola be able to fall back on having another $1 million coming in from the MTV hit, and they need to find other ventures in order to stay in the spotlight, at least if that is their goal.
So are these self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes staying confident about their future? Based on what Pauly D told MTV on the red carpet for the 2012 VMAs on Thursday night, it seems like it:
“You know, it’s bittersweet. We’ve been through so much together … They are actually my family now. They’re not going anywhere. We’re not going anywhere.”
Of course, it may actually be easier for Pauly to say this than any other member of the cast. He is easily the wealthiest member of the entire gang courtesy of his DJ gigs and product lines, and these are all likely to continue after the show (even if he may not have the same platform if “The Pauly D Project” ends). Outside of him, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley are each in good positions courtesy of their spin-off series, and Vinny Guadagnino has at least made a few footsteps into the world of acting.
Really, we are not going to know the longevity of the “Jersey Shore” crew for sure until the end of next year rolls around, and we still see if we are talking about any of these people. Do you think that we will be? We want to hear some of your thoughts below! To check out the first trailer for season 6, be sure and read the story here.
