We now know for sure the first song that Naya Rivera is going is going to be performing as Santana on “Glee” season 4, and it is one that fans of a certain pairing are going to more than appreciate.
In a new post on his Twitter account late Wednesday, executive producer Ryan Murphy confirmed that she is going to be performing the hit Taylor Swift song “Mine.” What makes this even more exciting, meanwhile, is that this will be performed as a serenade by our former Cheerio to her girlfriend Brittany (Heather Morris), who is going to be in a tough place at the start of the season. Not only is her girlfriend going to be off at the University of Louisville, but we have a feeling that she is going to be understandably depressed given that she was supposed to graduate last year before flunking out in the season finale.
Are Brittany and Santana going to stay together all season long? That’s the real question, and we have a feeling that it is going to be difficult for them. From a television standpoint it’s not easy to write for characters in long-distance relationships while making it exciting, and we also know that one of the upcoming episodes is going to be entitled “The Break-Up.” This is not a guarantee that these two are going to be over, but the prognosis is not nearly as good for them as it was for most of last season when they were at the same school and in New Directions together.
