Following the release of the last chapter of “Dexter: Early Cuts” last month, we now have another installment to enjoy leading up to the season 7 premiere on September 30. The good news? Dexter makes some serious movement forward here when it comes to figuring out just who is responsible for all of the recent prostitute killings. The bad news? If you are looking for a great deal of context here when it comes to the storyline for the new season, you are probably going to end up feeling disappointed.
The one connection that is present between this chapter and season 7 is that the role of “ladies of the night” will at least e somewhat prominent in both, though on the Showtime series the woman may simply be strippers and not full-on prostitutes as they are here. We don’t want to spoil too much of the video for those of you who are about to watch it, but the culprit responsible for these deaths has been at it for quite a long time, and they are making some sort of geographic pattern with the pay in which they are taking out victims one after the other.
We ultimately applaud illustrator David Mack here for the work on these videos, as well as Michael C. Hall for taking the time out to narrate them even though he also has the show itself to worry about. The purpose of these is to merely give us some insight as to how Dexter became so good at his “job,” and also to set some sort of stage for what is going to be coming up in the future.
What do you think about this new video? As always, we want to hear some of your thoughts below! To check out some more casting scoop from season 7, you can do so by visiting the link here.
