After weeks and weeks of waiting, and speculation that has in some ways dried out simply because there is really nothing else left to even speculate about, we are finally on the cusp of a decision being made as to who will star as “The Bachelor” when filming kicks off later this month.
In a new post on his Twitter account Wednesday night, executive producer Mike Fleiss posted the following message that certainly has us thinking that something could be made official any second now:
“My hunch is that we will hear something tomorrow…”
Out of the candidates to take part in the new season, it is fairly clear who the frontrunners are: Roberto Martinez (who was the choice of Ali Fedotowsky on “The Bachelorette”) and Sean Lowe, who is still fresh off of finishing third on Emily Maynard’s season earlier this summer. The right choice really all comes down to a matter of personal taste, as they each bring something rather special and distinct to the table whether it be a winning personality, a touching story, or a history of heartbreak that is going to make fans connect with them right away. Roberto was the initial favorite, and there were even reports out there claiming that his casting was pretty much a done deal during Emily’s season; however, Sean has since received a groundswell of support with fans online, and he has also managed to beat out another contestant of Emily’s in Arie Luyendyk Jr., who dropped out of the race last week in order to continue to pursue his racing career.
