We already know that the season premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” airing on September 27 is going to be entitled “Going Going Gone,” and we now have some other big news worth sharing when it comes to the show: the title for episode 2.
According to a report from SpoilerTV, this installment is going to be titled “Remember the Time,” and it could potentially be the swan song for Eric Dane if we do not see the last of Dr. Mark Sloan at the end of the first episode. Shonda Rhimes said earlier this summer that the first episode of the new season was going to jump forward to life after the crash (or at least far enough ahead to where some, but not all, of the injuries are healed), and that the second episode would turn back a little bit to how the surviving doctors were all actually rescued from the woods. This method of storytelling was a way for her to change things up a little bit for the show, and also give us a little bit of what the doctors are going through before showing us just how much the crash may have played an impact.
Episode 2 will be an opportunity for fans to look back at what was one of the most miserable times in these characters’ lives, but we could also a glimmer of something else in here, as well: hope. It’s not a given that Mark is going to die, and he may be able to move off somewhere else and start a new life. Meanwhile, we could also end up seeing some other characters like Meredith, Cristina, and Derek find themselves in better positions in their lives after being grateful to simply be alive.
