In less than one week from today, “The Voice” is going to be back on NBC hoping to find the next big thing; or, if you look at this strictly in terms of potential stars in the music industry, the first real person to make a significant impact. While we have seen some good singers square off here over the years, no one has emerged like Kelly Clarkson did on “American Idol” or even like Chris Rene has done since “The X Factor” finished last year.
So how is the show going to combat this moving forward? By having more singers, it seems! In the video below (which was first posted by TV Guide), you can check out Adam Levine, Blake Shelton Cee Lo Green, and Christina Aguilera each talk a little bit about their hopes to be as effective of a coach as possible, and what they are the most excited about when it comes to dealing with a massive lineup of 16 singers per team. Of course, this comes with a few major changes this year versus what we have seen in the past. Coaches can now steal players from other teams if they are not selected during the battle rounds, and we are also going to have more live shows in order to get a better opportunity to get to know who some of these people are competing for the title.
We are excited to see the love / love relationship with Adam and Blake again on the small screen, but we do have to admit that we’re skeptical on the larger team sizes. Why? We’d personally rather see a small group of people compete for the live shows, that way we can get to know all of them in some sort of intimate way.
