We have heard all sorts of crazy rumors pertaining to “The Real Housewives” franchise over the years, but for the second time this year, we are hearing some gossip about a subject that really does not make any sense whatsoever: someone actually trying to “buy” Twitter followers to make their account seem to be more popular than it really is.
The first time we heard this rumor, it revolved around Orange County resident Alexis Bellino and it really didn’t make much sense at all then; now, the subject matter is one Adrienne Maloof of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and we still really do not quite get what is making so many people want to suspect something here. This report first came out via Star Magazine, and then Brandi Glanville, in response to claims that she put out the story, responded by saying the following that seemed to be pointed in Maloof’s direction:
“I don’t leak stories to tabloids about the show, that is another blonde! The same one that has to buy Twitter follower’s #lame”
Ultimately, what really seems “lame” on this end is the idea that any of these successful ladies would need to boost their follower list given that they are already popular, and they have so many other things going on in their lives that their follower count is probably the farthest thing from their mind. Take for instance Adrienne, who is in the process of going through a divorce in addition to her business ventures with her family and production on the Bravo show. Twitter is more a supplement to everything rather than the straw that broke the camel’s back.
As if all of this was not enough to dissuade you from the talk, a rep for Adrienne also tells RumorFix that the entire story is untrue.
Can you see any universe in which these women would actually want to buy Twitter followers? We want to hear from you below! To check out some more news pertaining to Glanville and LeAnn Rimes’ recent decision to enter rehab, be sure to head over to the link here.
