While we eagerly await the return of “Glee” to Fox with all-new episodes, we have some other welcome news that is certainly worth sharing: some brand-new posters featuring the cast that should definitely feel familiar to anyone who is a longtime fan of the show.
These posters first of all feature a number of characters who are series regulars (including the newly-promoted Chord Overstreet), and they also perfectly showcase the trademark “Loser” sign that the show used frequently early on in the show’s run in order to remind everyone that these students at McKinley High were very much underdogs. It’s obviously that these posters are meant to serve as a not-so-subtle reminder to some humble beginnings, and also to hint a little bit at what is to come.
Early on this season, it’s safe to assume that many members of New Directions, however small it may be now, are going to be riding a little bit high following their victory at Nationals last May. Will this last for long? Probably not, as the reality is probably going to set in soon that these students are very much underdogs again without many of the people responsible for getting them that far. In reminding us that this show is very much still about this glee club, almost every one of these posters below (with the exception of the one featuring Naya Rivera and Chris Colfer) features at least one current member of the group. Our personal favorite? The one with Darren Criss’ Blaine Anderson and Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester, mostly because Criss’ facial expression looks as though he just avoided getting hit by a car.
Which one of these posters is your favorite? We want to hear from you below! If you want to hear Naya speak out a little bit more about her relationship with Heather Morris’ Santana, be sure to check out our “Glee” story over at this link.
