Want some good news from the world of “Dexter“? We are less than four weeks away from the return of America’s favorite serial killer — and probably for that matter the only serial killer that America likes.
As for what we have to share today, there are a pair of stories. First and foremost, the image to the left of this article is the cropped version of a brand-new promotional photo that Showtime has just released. It’s nothing new, but isn’t it still nice to see Michael C. Hall in his trademark “kill outfit” anyway? You view the full image below — click on it for a larger view.
Finally, we have a new character detail for you from the folks at SpoilerTV, and it is for a character that we are not going to meet until near the very end of the season. (Don’t worry; there are no plot spoilers ahead.) This person is a man named Hector, and he is a former drug lord who has literally spent the past 40 years locked up in prison. (In other words, Dexter has not had an opportunity to do away with him yet.) The character will first appear in the penultimate episode of the season, and whatever story there is with him will end up ultimately carrying over into the season finale. It’s unusual in some ways to see a new character like this enter the fold so late in the season — it’s either some sort of subplot, a major character who had been spoken about all season long but not seen, or some sort of teaser into what could be coming up in the eighth and presumably final season of the show.
