There is no new episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” Sunday thanks in part to the Labor Day holiday — so with that in mind, we are just going to have to settle for some reflection on the past few seasons courtesy of one Caroline Manzo.
As a part of a new interview with Celebuzz, Manzo reveals that as a part of her upcoming book Let Me Tell You Something, she offers up some pretty major insight on the decline of her relationships with Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice — two people who we saw her spar with in a pretty dramatic fashion on the show over the years:
“I talk about [Danielle and Teresa] too and how that affected me. Because in my reality, that would have never happened … I would’ve chosen to walk away and just stay out of that person’s life but because you do the show you’re around them. You don’t have an option. And at the same time not having the option, you have to make a decision: Do I worry about losing fans or do I worry about being true to myself? And it’s that struggle as well that I talk about.”
The saddest part about Manzo’s deteriorating relationship with Teresa is that it could have really been avoided so easily were it not for a comment that Teresa made to be “funny” inside of a recent cookbook. One sentence in a published work has more or less opened this show’s version of Pandora’s box, and no amount of talking things out has been able to close to the wounds since. As a matter of fact, there are reports that Caroline and Teresa have hardly communicating at all over the course of the past year.
