We are now just four weeks away from the season 2 premiere of “Once Upon a Time,” and we now have something that is definitely worth smiling about — short synopsis of the premiere.
According to TV.com, the episode (entitled “Broken”) is going to unsurprisingly be very much about how some of these characters are managing to handle the transformation that has come their way in the wake of the curse being broken at the end of last season:
“In the aftermath of Gold’s actions at the wishing well, the people of Storybrooke must come to grips with the knowledge of what they once were… and are again.”
Based on some the information that we have received already, it appears as though Ginnifer Goodwin’s character of Snow White is going to by and large be the focus of this episode — which really should not come as too great of a surprise once you remember that she is really the glue that binds so many of these characters together. She is set to learn that she is not only the wife of David a.k.a. Prince Charming, but that she has a daughter in Emma who, thanks to the quirkiness of the curse, is now around the same age as her. Meanwhile, she also has a grandson in Henry who was unfortunately adopted by the Evil Queen Regina.
It’s unclear just how many of the season’s new characters — a group that includes Sleeping Beauty (Sarah Bolger), Prince Phillip (Julian Morris), or Lancelot (Sinqua Walls) — are going to appear during this first episode. We know that Colin O’Donoghue will make his debut as Captain Hook in episode 4, and Jorge Garcia will be stopping by a little bit later on as the giant.
