At this point in time, the joke has become pretty ubiquitous — celebrities acting heartbroken following the news that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are no longer together. It’s a feeling that many a “Twilight” fan happened when the cheating scandal involving Rupert Sanders was first unveiled — but now that we are a few weeks down the road, does it feel a little bit like beating a dead horse to anyone else?
On Thursday night’s edition of “The Late Show with David Letterman,” we saw someone new tackle the issue in Bruce Willis — and as a matter of fact, he even had an entire mock “Die Hard” trailer making fun of the controversy. He starts things off in the clip by acting as though this is one of the crises that we seem to find John McClain in during just about every movie, and he quickly starts acting emotional as a result. The end result of this, though? The admission that he is all torn up over Kristen and Rob’s breakup, and he seriously felt as though they were going to make it as a couple.
Kristen is actually getting set to emerge for the first time since the split first happened next month, when she arrives at the Toronto Film Festival in order to promote her new movie “On the Road.” Following that, she is set to give an extensive publicity tour to promote “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II,” and we have a feeling that this is when things are really going to awkward between her and the man that she was the center of attention with for many years.
Do you think that these spoofs are funny, or are we starting to get to the point in your eyes when they are a little much? We want to hear more of your thoughts below! You can check out more news pertaining to Pattinson over at this link.
