Are you in the mood for some scares? Let’s hope so, since the upcoming Halloween-themed episode of “Pretty Little Liars” is once again going to do everything that it can to deliver some grade-A entertainment in a way that you don’t always see from every other episode. It’s not so much a serialized episode as an hour stuffed full of fun, and it sounds like some great spooks are on the way courtesy of Troian Bellisario.
Speaking in a new interview with E! News about the episode, here is what the actress — whose character of Spencer is in the dark about Toby being on the “A Team” — had to say:
“If you enjoyed last year’s, it’s just going to be leaps and bounds [better]. It’s no holds barred. It’s amazing what they did this year. I think we’re still paying for it in terms of the budget … The costumes are much better this year, the location is out of this world, and the stakes are much, much higher … The challenge [when it came to the costumes] was, and it was not adhered to by all the girls, but the challenge was to pick a movie and come as a character.”
This episode will feature Adam Lambert as a special guest, and he will perform two songs in “Cuckoo” and “Trespassing” to go along with at least one scene with Lucy Hale. (Just in case you were wondering, we sincerely doing that Adam had anything to do with Alison’s death — he loves having a good time, and there are far too many tears in Rosewood for him to stay for a long period of time.)
This Halloween special for the show is going to air on Tuesday, October 23 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time — just one week and a day before the holiday itself. If you want to check out a promo for this episode, you can do so by paying a visit over to the link here.
