Bruce Campbell joins James Franco in Sam Raimi’s ‘Oz’

He’s joining the filming!

It wouldn’t be a Sam Raimi movie without Bruce Campbell showing up in some shape or form, and we can now say for certain that this is precisely what is going to happen for “Oz: The Great and Powerful.”

Although we do not know who Campbell (who has appeared in Raimi’s “Evil Dead” films along with the “Spider-Man” trilogy) will play yet in the film, the actor did post on his Twitter account that this gig is officially a done deal:

“I. Am. In. Oz. Sam Raimi refuses to tell me what character I will portray. Just know that the role is PIVOTAL.”

Campbell is going to be joining what already is a fairly sensational cast. James Franco is set to play the title character, while Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weisz are all attached as witches.

“Oz: The Great and Powerful” will debut in theaters on March 8, 2013 — are you glad to see Bruce on board, or did you always assume that this was going to happen?
