‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: A new casting for unknown role

Do we have another new addition to what is already a massive cast? Based on what is being reported at this very moment, it does very much seem like “Game of Thrones” has another new addition.

According to agency Mondi Associates (per show site Winter is Coming), English actress Stephanie Blacker (“The Cut”) has been booked to play an unknown role on the hit HBO drama’s third season. Considering the timing of the casting, the site makes a pretty accurate suggestion that she could be playing Val, a Wilding that just so happens to be the sister-in-law of the King Beyond the Wall in Mance Rayder. The how has already been filming in Northern Ireland for over a month now, and it is presumed that she would have been spotted or reported there had she been a part of the storylines shot there. Meanwhile, her complexion is such that she would be perfect for scenes Beyond the Wall in comparison to where Emilia Clarke is going to be shooting in Morocco a little later this year.

Cirian Hinds has already been cast to play Rayder on this coming season, but HBO would not confirm Blacker’s casting at this time. The scenes Beyond the Wall are filmed in Iceland, which is surely one of the most punishing locations out there given the limited hours of sunlight, the low temperatures, and also the high winds. With all of this being said, the location itself looks stunning on film and is very much worth the effort.

Are you thrilled to see Jon Snow finally meet Rayder this season after what has really been a season and a half of buildup? We want to hear from you below? To check out some more “Game of Thrones” season 3 castings, be sure to head over to this link.
