While it may not be landmark news to the same level as the announcement that “Lost” alum Jorge Garcia is coming on board the show, it is still definitely worth pointing out — “Once Upon a Time” is really making some steady progress on their second season.
In a new post on his Twitter account Thusday, series star Josh Dallas confirmed that the show is already hard at work on the fifth episode of the new season — and to think, it feels like it was only yesterday and production was beginning right after Comic-Con in San Diego. What can we tell you about this episode? It’s set to be the first following the introduction of Colin O’Donoghue’s Captain Hook, and it is feasible that it could contain one of the many new characters that have already surfaced on set — including Sleeping Beauty (Sarah Bolger), Prince Phillip (Julian Morris), or Mulan (Jamie Cheung). As for when Garcia’s character is going to turn up, that is still a mystery — but for the time being he is only booked for one episode that will likely be at least in part a standalone story. (However, we saw last year with some characters — see Grumpy or Belle — that this can lead into more of a presence later on in the show.
The second season of “Once Upon a Time” premieres on Sunday, September 30 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, and hopefully we will have more clearly defined scoop on the state of things in Storybrooke before that time. After all, it’s sure to be a crazy place given that magic has already started to spread like wildfire throughout the town.
