If you have been following our recent updates on “The Bachelor,” then you already know that there seems to be four candidates that appear to be somewhat serious for the the starring role in the upcoming season — Sean Lowe, Arie Luyendyk Jr., Roberto Martinez, and Ryan Lochte, which may not even be that serious depending on who you ask. If you consider that Roberto has seemingly faded in terms of media attention in the past several weeks, it really just leaves us with two candidates that currently have almost all of the hype backing them up — Arie and Sean. Both have their own stories, and are likable with viewers at home.
Thankfully, it looks as though you won’t be waiting much longer. In a new post on Twitter, show executive producer Mike Fleiss proclaimed that there would be some sort of formal decision made very soon:
“The decision will be made in the next week. U know those showbiz types. Any excuse to turn a 3-day weekend into a full-blown vacation…”
One of the reasons that this selection process has been so difficult is merely due to the two primary candidates bringing something so different to the table. For Sean, you have the same sort of nice, Southern guy that we have seen on the show before — and he may be able to follow through on it more than Jake Pavelka and Brad Womack. But is his story really interesting enough? We’ve wondered that, but we don’t think him not having a splash career will be an issue so long as there are interesting ladies cast. Meanwhile, Arie brings the sort of splash and buzz that will make the tabloids happy, but he is a little bit of a riskier pick given America’s love for the Southern gentleman.
Who do you think is the better choice, or do you still think that someone like Roberto or even Ryan has a chance? To check out some more news on this decision, be sure and visit the link here.
