Ever since their days on “The X Factor” back in 2010, One Direction has slowly and surely found a way to take over most of the world. They started off strong in Great Britain, and then they took part in a promotional tour here in the United States earlier this year where they managed to ascend to global superstardom. Not only did they perform on “Saturday Night Live” here in the United States, but the boy band also went back home this summer and performed during the Closing Ceremonies for the London 2012 Games.
The most amazing part of all this? That the band has managed to have so much success with just one album … though this won’t be lasting for long. In a post on his Twitter account today, Louis Tomlinson of the group revealed that the next album title will be “Take Me Home.” As of right now, this album has a tentative release date of November in the United Kingdom. There is no confirmed release date yet for the album here in America, and the same goes for the group’s lead single “Live Like We’re Young” off of the album. (The track will be released on September 30 here in the UK.)
Just how popular is this song already? Let’s just say that it is already breaking pre-order records in its native country. We have a feeling that this is only going to continue moving forward to the album’s release, and the November date is ultimately perfect — it’s right in the middle of the holiday season, and there are sure to be many teen girls who want this disc under their stocking.
