“Supernatural” has long had a tradition of bringing back former guest stars for another go-around, so the following news should not really come as much of a surprise to anyone — DJ Qualls is coming back for more.
In a new post on his Twitter account, the former “Road Trip” actor — who made two credited appearances on the show during its seventh season — confirmed that he is ready to spend some more time at the show’s filming location north of the border alongside the likes of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles:
“A week from today, I’m heading back to Vancouver to play with my buddies [Jared] and Jensen. Some exciting stuff in that ep. Can’t wait … [Garth will return] in the most awesome way.”
Qualls’ sense of humor is always something that is appreciated, and it does work well with the overall tone of the show. With his return (and the fact that we already know that Misha Collins will be around for at least a third of the upcoming season), it makes us even more anxious about the possibility of seeing one of our other favorite guest stars again — Jim Beaver. Ever since he appeared at Comic-Con over the summer, there have been questions about whether or not Bobby was going to rise from the dead. However, this has been one subject that new showrunner Jeremy Carver has not been interested in talking about even in the slightest.
According to Zap2It, Qualls’ return will be in episode six, but that is really the only other piece of information that is known at this time.
Regardless of how under wraps things still are here, are you happy to see a little bit more of Garth during season 8? Be sure and share your thoughts below! If you want some more information on Sam and Dean’s future on the show, be sure and head over to this link.
