For the past several months, all we have really known about Adam Levine’s character on the upcoming “American Horror Story: Asylum” was that he was going to be playing one half of a duo known as “The Lovers.” Now, we are pleased to report that we have found out a good bit more in the way of information.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Maroon 5 frontman (and coach from “The Voice”) is going to be playing a man named Leo who is not only not a patient at the insane asylum featured on the show, but he is not directly involved with it at all. Instead, he and his wife (Jenna Dewan Tatum) are on a honeymoon in the Boston area when they draw the attention of someone who is presumably the Big Bad of the season. Is this the mysterious Bloody Face? Considering that Ryan Murphy compared this character to Rubber Man from the show’s first season, this is what we are betting on.
For those curious, Dewan’s character will be named Teresa, and we have a feeling that both of these people are going to be mightily tormented by the end of this season. As for some of the other characters, the one that we are the most intrigued about his Sarah Paulson’s Lana — a journalist who is committed to the asylum by her own girlfriend after she tries to expose some of the institution’s darkest secrets (and there are many). Evan Peters, known for playing Rubber Man last year, is going to be one of the many inmates.
