‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6: Mayim Bialik talks balancing injury on set

As it is probably pretty well-known at this point, Mayim Bialik is recovering from a pretty painful car accident that she suffered earlier this year. So just how much is it impacting her work on “The Big Bang Theory”? Despite some minor changes that we already told you about, it doesn’t seem to be bothering her too much at all.

Speaking within a new interview with “Access Hollywood,” Bialik said that one of the things that is really helping her is just how careful the show’s producers are being to make sure that this injury does not become a larger issue:

”[We’re] hiding it every which way we can, I’ve been at work every day … Work has been really amazing getting me in and out and giving me breaks.”

Bialik also joked in the interview that she can have her current split fitted in black, just so she can attend the red carpet for the Primetime Emmy Awards while looking glamorous at the same time. Bialik is the first woman from the show to be nominated, and she even has an outside chance of taking home the trophy for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Sheldon’s offbeat and genius girlfriend Amy Farrah Fowler.

At the end of last season, we saw Sheldon and Amy start to grow a little bit closer thanks in part to Howard’s wedding (and some well-designed moves by Amy to play into what little emotion Sheldon has). So where will this relationship go now? That is the question that we are waiting to find out more information about.

If you want to check out just who from the “Star Trek” universe is making a return appearance on the show, be sure and head on over to this link.
