In the first few episodes of “Glee” season 4, Lea Michele’s character of Rachel Berry is going to have more on her mind than just figuring out whether or not her heart is with Finn Hudson anymore — she’s also going to be dealing with a brash and arrogant new dance teacher at NYADA in Cassandra July (Kate Hudson).
So how is Rachel going to fight back against this teacher — who could not be further away from Will Schuester when it comes to teaching style? Well, let’s just say that she could be using the tired-and-true method of boosting her own self-confidence. According to a new report from E! News, she is going to be getting a makeover of sorts in the third episode of the season as a way of showing up Cassandra and allowing her own talents to shine through.
On the Kate Hudson side of things, we also now know that her performance of “Dance Again” from one of the show’s early episodes (presumably the premiere) is going to be a mash-up that includes a certain Lady Gaga hit. As the E! report suggests, “Just Dance” is a fitting choice given the subject matter and that the song is in a similar key to the Jennifer Lopez hit. Regardless of what this song is, expect Cassandra to arrive on the show with a bang, and stay a constant thorn in Rachel’s side for the first several episodes of the season. Rachel will also still be running into Carmen (Whoopi Goldberg), who she infamously choked in front of while auditioning for the prestigious school last season.
